Information Security

Information security is one of First Interstate Financial Corp's highest priorities. We utilize state-of-the art technology to protect your account from access by unauthorized users.

We require you to use a 128-bit secure browser to access account information, which ensures that the information you access is secure and confidential. Microsoft Explore, Netscape Navigator and Netscape Communicator are all secure browsers.

Secure browsers use secure sockets layer (SSL) technology to encrypt (scramble) the communication between the servers. After you enter data about yourself, the data is encrypted to ensure the security of your personal information. This ensures that you are communicating with First Interstate, and makes it impossible for anyone else to read or intercept the data. Your User ID and password which you enter to log in to our site also acts to ensure that your personal information is secure.
